Special Events & Use of District Property

Many school-sponsored, PTA, Booster co-sponsored fundraisers happen every year.  District property may also be used by permits or short-term leases.  The safety and protection of the District Students, Personnel, Licensee's, public and District Property during these events is the goal.  All Non-District entities accessing District property need to comply with the District's insurance requirements.

Commercial Auto & Workers' Compensation

  • Auto & WC Waiver (Only when no business vehicles are owned and/or vendor has no employees and is not required to fulfill CA requirements for worker's compensation) The coverage may be endorsed to the existing Commercial General Liability policy.

The above guidelines and requirements are not exhaustive of all possible scenarios but are representative of what is commonly reviewed.  There will be some events that may require different coverage and limits.

Please note that Carnivals, Fairs, Food, Inflatables and Equipment Vendors have additional requisites and may need additional review and approval from the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS).  Please refer to the OEHS Fairs and Carnival checklist.

For Beautification Projects, please refer to BUL-5761.0 and include with your submission the Project Approval Tracking Sheet.

The review timeline depends on the event, OEHS review, completeness of the submitted information, and how quickly the vendor can respond to any inquiries or changes required by the review.  To help speed up the review, make sure to submit the following:
